Colin and Keiko Pander have run Smylies Accommodation since it's inception in 1986.
The transport side is run by Colin and Gus who with a team of dedicated drivers, will look after you tour needs throughout the South island and are able to cater for all your group travel requirements.
Colin and Keiko have three grown children, Toshi, Erika and Georgi plus Kunta the cat, Kuni the walking garbage disposal unit and 2 alpaca's.
We have run our hostel as a family business and incorporate that philosophy into the Tours side as well. With 25 years experience under the belt Colin is well versed in Health and Safety and Risk and Management which form an integral part of our business.
Gus has 2 grown children Naomi and Sean and has a great wealth of knowledge about New Zealand with a degree in Agricultural Science. This is coupled with a wealth of Language School experience. Gus brings the brains to the business and gets Quotes to you within a 24 hrs turnaround period.
The Smylies dedicated team of expert drivers are also your guide on the slopes and chef on the overnight trips. All bring their own specialities to the team who have been together for many years now.
